# Crane Service in Canterbury Estates

> Canterbury Estates is an established Lake Havasu City neighbourhood with a mix of one and two storey homes and moderate changes in grade from street to street. There is no single rule for setup here, so we look at each lot rather than assuming the block behaves the same way throughout.

**TLDR:** Canterbury Estates is established and mixed. Some lots are level, some sit on grade. Two storey roofs push the reach further than you might expect.

## No Single Rule for the Block

Canterbury Estates does not behave like one neighbourhood. Within a few streets you get level lots, lots that sit up on a low pad and lots that step down behind the frontage. That is why we look at the individual address rather than assuming what worked two doors along will work here.

Roof height varies the same way. A two storey home changes the geometry noticeably, because the load has to clear a much higher ridge before it can start coming down into the yard. The extra height eats into what is available at radius, so the numbers get checked rather than assumed.

## Established Yards and the Clear Path

These are settled properties. Walls, gates, patios, covers and mature landscaping are already in place, which means the clear corridor into the back is narrower than an aerial photo suggests. Working out the actual path a load can travel is most of the planning on a job here.

Street width is moderate, so a setup will take part of the road while we work. We keep a lane open where the street allows it, keep the occupation short, and let the neighbours know if the position is going to affect them.

- Rooftop and package HVAC changeouts
- Spas and hot tubs over walls into established yards
- Patio covers, pergolas and shade steel
- Mechanical, pool and backyard equipment
- Pool, boulder and landscape lifts over walls

## Our Process

1. **Photos of the specific lot.** Grade and roof height vary house to house here. We plan from your address, not from the street it sits on.
2. **Map the clear path.** Walls, covers and mature landscaping narrow the corridor. We identify the actual route a load can travel before booking the day.
3. **Plan the road occupation.** Setup will take part of the street. We keep a lane open where we can, keep it brief, and give the neighbours warning if needed.
4. **Set and finish.** The load takes the clear path in and lands once, and the truck comes off the road as soon as it is released.

## What Is Included

- Per lot assessment of grade, roof height and clear path
- Cribbing and pads for moderate street cross fall
- Rigging for units, spas, covers and equipment
- Operator and spotter for over the wall landings
- Reach checked per house for one and two storey roofs

## Frequently Asked Questions

### My neighbour had this done. Will mine be the same?

Not necessarily. Grade and roof height change from lot to lot here, so we look at your address on its own before quoting a plan.

### Does a two storey house make it harder?

It changes the numbers. The load has to clear a higher ridge, which uses up capacity at radius. It is normal work, it just needs checking rather than assuming.

### Will you need to block the street?

Partly, for the duration of the lift. We keep a lane open where the width allows and we keep the occupation as short as the job permits.

### Can you get past mature landscaping into the backyard?

Usually there is a clear corridor somewhere, often diagonally across a corner of the house. Finding it is most of the planning on these lots.
