# Mobile Crane Service in Quartzsite, Arizona

> Quartzsite is 76 road miles from our Lake Havasu City yard, at the junction of Interstate 10 and US-95. Its population swings enormously between the winter RV season and the empty summer. That swing decides everything about scheduling here, and it changes what the work looks like from one half of the year to the other.

**TLDR:** Quartzsite is 76 road miles south, our furthest regular town. It fills with winter RV traffic and empties in summer. Third tier, so book early in season.

## Two Different Towns, Six Months Apart

Quartzsite in January and Quartzsite in July are not the same place to work in. In season the town and the surrounding desert are full. There is vendor and show infrastructure going up and coming down, containers being placed and moved, awnings and shade structures, park model work and a constant run of equipment that needs setting or repairing.

In summer almost all of that is gone. Access is easy, there is nobody in the way and the setup positions are wide open, but the heat cuts the working day to the early morning. Both seasons work, they just work differently, and it is worth knowing which one your job is in.

## Booking a 76 Mile Run

This is the far edge of what we cover as normal service. Seventy six road miles is a long haul for a boom truck, so Quartzsite is always a booked day. In the winter months it is worth booking well ahead, because in season everyone wants the same weeks and the roads are slow.

The trip makes far better sense with multiple jobs on it. If you are a park operator, a vendor with several containers, or a contractor with more than one item, group them. One trip covering a list is a much better use of a run this length than three separate visits.

- Container placement and moving
- Shade structures, awnings and vendor canopies
- Park model and RV related lifts
- Generators, tanks and mechanical equipment
- Vendor signs and poles set for the season

## Our Process

1. **Book early in season.** Winter weeks fill up and the roads are slow. The earlier the date is set, the better the window you will get.
2. **Group the work.** At 76 miles one item is a hard trip to justify. Give us the full list and we will plan a day around it.
3. **Confirm the ground.** Desert gravel and sand rather than hard caliche. We size the pads for the softest part of the setup area, not the firmest.
4. **Work early, especially in summer.** Summer days here start at first light and finish before the worst of the heat. In season we plan around traffic and crowds instead.

## What Is Included

- Booked day with a realistic window for the season
- Oversized pads for desert gravel and sand
- Rigging for containers, canopies and equipment
- Operator and rigging hand on site
- Container setting on desert gravel pads

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Do you cover Quartzsite from Lake Havasu City?

Yes, at 76 road miles. It is the furthest town we serve on a regular basis and it is always a booked day rather than a same day call.

### How far ahead should I book in winter?

As far ahead as you can. The season is the busy half of the year down there and the drive is slower when the roads are full.

### Can you place shipping containers?

Yes, within the truck's capacity. Give us the loaded weight rather than the empty weight and tell us what the ground is like where it lands.

### Is summer work possible in that heat?

Yes, starting at first light. The town is quiet and access is easy, but the working window is short and we plan the day around it.
