# Industrial and Equipment Placement Examples

> Setting machinery is a precision job. The lift is often short and the load is often well inside capacity. What takes the time is landing the equipment exactly on its anchors or its pad, level, without shock loading it as it touches down.

**TLDR:** Equipment setting is about the final position, not the lift. A machine that lands a half inch off is a problem.

## The soft set

A soft set means bringing the load down slowly enough that it settles rather than lands. Sensitive equipment does not like being dropped the last two inches, and anchor bolts do not like being hit sideways.

That is a function of hydraulic control and an operator who is watching the right thing. It is also a reason to have someone at the pad guiding, because from the seat you cannot see a bolt pattern clearly at distance.

## Generators, tanks and top-heavy loads

A generator wants a level pad, because vibration isolators sit wrong on a pad that is out and the consequence shows up months later as a cracked mount. We check level before the unit comes off the trailer, not after it lands.

An empty tank is light and enormous. It behaves like a sail. Wind, not weight, governs those lifts, and on a breezy Havasu afternoon a large empty vessel is the load most likely to make us reschedule.

## Boats, trailers and lakeside work

Havasu generates a steady amount of specialty lifting that is not construction at all: boats onto and off trailers, personal watercraft, storage-yard moves, and equipment offloads from flatbeds where no forklift can reach.

These are rigging problems more than capacity problems. A hull has specific lift points and a trailer is not one of them.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can you set a generator on a pad we already poured?

Yes. Confirm the pad is cured and level and tell us the unit weight and the anchor layout. We will land it on the bolts rather than near them.

### Do you move equipment between sites?

We lift and place. We are not a hauling company, so transport is usually the customer's trucking. We can offload from a flatbed on arrival.

### How precise can placement be?

Precise enough to land on anchor bolts, with someone at the pad guiding. Tell us up front if the tolerance is tight so we allow time for it.
