# Residential Specialty Lifts in Lake Havasu City

> Residential specialty lifts cover one-off household loads that cannot be carried or wheeled into place. Gun safes, landscape boulders, fountains, statuary, storage sheds, playsets, pool equipment, and generators. Each is planned individually around its weight, its shape, and where it can safely be rigged.

**TLDR:** Safes, boulders and fountains, sheds, playsets, and pool equipment. These are the one-off household loads. None of them fit through a gate.

## Every One of These Is a Different Problem

A gun safe is compact, extremely heavy for its size, and top-heavy once the door is on. A landscape boulder has no lifting points at all and an irregular shape. A fountain is brittle and comes in stacked pieces. A shed is light, huge, and flexes if you lift it wrong.

So there is no standard method. What we ask for is weight, dimensions, what the item is made of, and whether it has anything on it that can be rigged to. A photo from two angles usually tells us more than a paragraph of description.

The common thread is that all of these got as far as the driveway and then hit a three-foot gate. Everything past that point is the crane's job.

Weight is the thing people underestimate most on this work. A gun safe that two people supposedly moved into a garage is often several times heavier than the guess, and a decorative fountain in three pieces adds up faster than it looks. Send a model number where one exists.

## Rigging Things That Were Never Meant to Be Lifted

Boulders get slung with a basket or a rock net, and the shape decides how it hangs. Setting a boulder is also a face decision, since one side usually looks better than the others and the homeowner has an opinion about which way it points.

Safes get lifted from the base with the door secured shut, because a door that swings open in the air changes the balance and can take a hand off. Fountains come apart and go over in pieces, then get stacked and set on the base.

Sheds and playsets are the flexible ones. They need spread pick points and often a spreader bar, because a single-point lift lets the structure rack and pull its fasteners. If it was built on site, it may not survive being lifted at all, and that is worth an honest conversation first.

Timing on these jobs is usually flexible, which is the one easy part. There is rarely a crew standing by or a building open to the weather, so we can schedule around the calm early hours and around the jobs that genuinely cannot move.

## Our Process

1. **Describe the Item.** Weight, size, material, and photos from a couple of angles. That tells us how it can be rigged and whether it is a candidate for a lift at all.
2. **Plan the Rigging.** Basket, net, straps, or a spreader depending on the item. Doors and lids secured, loose parts removed, and pieces separated where the item comes apart.
3. **Test Lift and Check the Hang.** Up a few inches, stopped, and inspected. Irregular loads reveal their balance here, and this is where the rigging gets adjusted if it needs it.
4. **Guided Set.** Tag lines and a spotter for the descent, with orientation confirmed before the item is down. On boulders and features, we set the face before it lands.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can you lift a gun safe into my backyard?

Yes. The door gets secured shut first, because a door swinging open in the air changes the balance completely. Give us the weight, since safes are much heavier than they look.

### Can you set landscape boulders?

Regularly. Boulders get a net or basket hitch and we set the face you want showing. Tell us which side is the good one before the boulder is in the air.

### Can you move my shed over the wall?

Sometimes. A factory-built shed with a solid floor frame usually lifts fine with spread pick points. One built in place with light framing may not survive it, and we will tell you that up front.

### What if I do not know the weight?

Send photos and the make or model if it has one. We can usually work it out. If it stays uncertain, we bring the machine with the margin rather than gamble on it.

### Can you lift pool equipment into a walled equipment area?

Yes, that is common. Filters, heaters, and pumps go over the wall rather than through a gate. Have the pad and the plumbing stubs ready so the item lands in the right orientation.
