Mobile Crane Service in Golden Valley
1 min readUpdated July 2026
Golden Valley is 68 road miles from our Lake Havasu City yard, in the broad flat valley west of Kingman. Parcels are large, roads are often unpaved and many properties run their own water and power. Work is water tanks, well equipment, steel buildings, generators, containers and equipment moving.
Off Grid Property Needs Different Work
A lot of Golden Valley property runs on its own water and its own power. That means equipment that town properties never have: well heads and column pipe, water storage tanks, pump houses, standby generators, fuel tanks, solar racking and battery enclosures. All of it is heavy, awkward and located wherever the owner put it rather than where a truck would like it to be.
The upside is space. Once we are on the parcel there is usually room to set up properly and pick from a clean radius. There is rarely anything overhead. What we plan around instead is the ground and the road in.
- Water storage tanks and pump houses
- Well heads, pumps and column pipe
- Standby generators, fuel tanks and enclosures
- Steel building components and containers
- Equipment and implement moving on the property
The Road In and the Booked Day
Most of the roads out here are graded dirt. Some are excellent, some are washboard, and some have a soft sand stretch that a pickup crosses without noticing and a loaded boom truck does not. We ask which route to take and whether it has been graded recently, because that is the difference between a good day and a stuck truck.
At 68 miles this is third tier dispatch. That is an honest hour and a half each way, so the day gets booked. It also means a single small job is hard to justify on its own. If there is other work in the valley, or you have several items to move, put them together and we will build one trip around them.
Distance and Dispatch
Golden Valley is 68 road miles from our yard at 850 London Bridge Rd in Lake Havasu City. That is measured by road, not straight line, because the road distance is what actually decides how a day gets scheduled. Outer dispatch band. Usually booked ahead, and it makes sense to group work in the area.
- 68 road miles puts Golden Valley in the third dispatch tier. These are booked days, and they work best in pairs.
- The valley is wide, flat and open, with parcels measured in acres rather than feet.
- Many roads are graded dirt. Washboard and soft sand are both common, and neither is friendly to a heavy truck.
- Wells, storage tanks, standby generators and solar arrays are normal here because a lot of property is off the grid.
- Nothing breaks the wind across the valley floor, so a suspended load moves more than it would in town.
How the job runs
Our Process
Step 1: Name the route in
Which road, which turns, and whether there is a soft or washed section on it. Out here the approach is the risk, not the lift.
Step 2: List everything you need moved
At this distance a single item is an expensive trip for you. Tell us the whole list and we will do it in one visit.
Step 3: Book the day
Third tier means a scheduled date, not a same day call. We will tell you the realistic window and hold it.
Step 4: Everything in one visit
Tanks, containers, generators and panel racking all go on one list. Nobody wants to drive 68 miles twice for one lift.

Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you actually come out to Golden Valley?
Yes. It is 68 road miles, which is our third dispatch tier, so it is a booked day rather than a drop in call.
Can your truck handle a dirt road?
Graded and firm, yes. Deep sand and washouts are where a loaded boom truck gets into trouble. Tell us the road and we will judge it before we set out.
Can you set a water storage tank?
Yes, and it is common work out here. We need the tank weight full or empty as applicable, the pad location and a workable setup point.
Is it cheaper to combine jobs?
It is certainly more efficient. One trip covering several items is much better use of a 68 mile run than three separate visits.
