Services
Mobile Crane Services
HCW Crane Service provides owner-operated mobile crane work across Lake Havasu City and the surrounding Arizona communities. We run a 22-ton and a 40-ton mobile boom truck with reach up to 142 feet. Every crane comes with an operator, and we do not rent bare equipment.
The list below is organized by the kind of work rather than by the machine, because that is how people actually describe what they need. Someone with a failed rooftop unit does not need a crane, they need the old unit off and a new one on before the building gets hot.
If you are not sure which group your job falls under, call and describe it. It takes about a minute to tell you which crane covers it and whether the site is going to be the complication.

The Most Requested Work
These are the specific jobs we are asked about most often.
- Owner-Operated Crane ServiceThe owner takes the call, walks the site, and runs the crane. One person accountable for the lift from the first phone call to the final walkthrough.
- Crane With OperatorEvery crane goes out with an operator and the rigging to do the job. Here is exactly who does what on site, and what your crew is responsible for.
- 22-Ton Crane ServiceOur 22-ton boom truck is the tight-street machine. Smaller setup footprint, quicker to place, and the right call for most single-story residential lifts.
- 40-Ton Crane ServiceOur 40-ton boom truck reaches up to 142 feet and holds weight far out from the truck. The machine for two-story picks and deep commercial roofs.
- Package Unit PlacementSetting rooftop package units square on the curb, with the gasket seated and the duct openings lined up. Crane and operator for HVAC contractors.
- Rooftop Equipment LiftsExhaust fans, kitchen hoods, evaporative coolers, ductwork, and mechanical equipment lifted onto commercial and residential roofs.
- Roof Truss LiftingTrusses arrive banded and go up floppy. Spread pick points, two tag lines, and a crew that braces as it goes. Crane and operator supplied.
- Spa PlacementA spa carries its weight in the shell, not the cabinet. Sling placement, a cured level pad, and equipment bay orientation are what make the set work.
- Hot Tub Crane LiftDelivery day logistics for a hot tub lift. Where the truck parks, how long the street is blocked, and getting the old tub out on the same visit.
- Tight Access LiftsNarrow streets, no side yard, overhead lines, and neighbors on both sides. How we work a lift where there is barely room to set up.
- Machinery PlacementMobile crane machinery placement in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Lathes, presses, and shop equipment rigged to frame lift points and set on the pad.
- Generator PlacementGenerator placement in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We level the pad, spread the sling angle, and land the genset clean over the conduit stub ups.
Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you rent cranes without an operator?
No. Every crane comes with an operator. Bare rental splits responsibility for the outcome, and we would rather be the ones accountable for how the load lands.
How do I know whether I need the 22-ton or the 40-ton?
It depends on three things together: what the load weighs, how far the crane has to reach horizontally to get to it, and how much room there is to set up. Weight alone does not answer it, because rated capacity drops sharply as the boom extends.
Do you handle containers, machinery and construction material lifts?
Yes. Rigging and Construction Lifts covers shipping containers, machinery, truck unloading, boats and vehicles, roofing and solar load-ups, signs and poles, and pool and landscape lifts. Tell us the weight and where it has to land.
What information do you need to give me a quote?
The weight of the load, the distance from where a truck could park to where the load has to land, what is in between, and when you need it. A photo from the street answers most of that faster than a conversation.
Ready to schedule your lift?
Tell us the load, the site and the timing. We will confirm capacity, access and a window.
