Mobile Crane Service in Parker, Arizona

3 min readUpdated July 2026

Parker is 41 road miles south of our Lake Havasu City yard, about an hour of mostly two lane driving down AZ-95 through the Parker Strip. We bring the 22 ton or 40 ton boom truck for HVAC, docks, boats, farm equipment and structural work, and the owner runs every lift personally.

Getting a Crane Down to Parker

The route is AZ-95 the whole way south. It runs along the lake, down through the Parker Strip, and into town. It is two lane for most of that, and on a spring or fall weekend it is slow behind boat traffic. Plan for an hour each way for the truck, more if the strip is busy.

Forty one road miles puts Parker in our second dispatch tier. That means same day is often possible but not automatic. It depends on what else is already on the board that morning. If you can give us a day or two of notice we can usually put you where you want to be, and if there is another Parker job the same week we will try to pair them up.

Docks, Boats and River Property

A lot of Parker work is on the water side. Boats coming out for repair, boats going back in, dock sections, gangways, boat lift frames and shade structures. Most of it is short radius work with an awkward shape on the hook, which is more about rigging than capacity.

River lots here usually step down from the road toward the water. That means the truck sets up high and the load goes down grade to land, so we need to know the drop and what is in the way partway down. Overhead spans, carport roofs along the drive and the power run out to the dock are the usual obstacles.

Docks and boat lifts on the river take a beating. When a dock section, gangway or lift frame has to come out for repair or go back in once it is fixed, the crane picks it from the road side and lands it where your dock crew wants it.

Town Work and Farm Work

Parker is the La Paz County seat, so there is a level of commercial building here that the smaller river communities do not have. Rooftop package units on offices, clinics, schools and retail are regular work, and those are mostly clean setups in a parking lot with room for outriggers.

South of town the Parker Valley is irrigated farm ground. Irrigation pumps, gearheads, implements and shop equipment all need lifting sooner or later, and new equipment arrives on trucks that need unloading. Farm lifts tend to be urgent, and they tend to be in a field where the truck has to sit on soft ground, so we bring pads sized for that.

  • Rooftop and package HVAC on commercial buildings
  • Dock sections, gangways and boat lift structures
  • Boats in and out of the water and on and off trailers
  • Irrigation pumps, gearheads and farm implements
  • Generators, tanks and mechanical equipment setting
  • Truck unloading and machinery setting at farm shops

Ground and Season in Parker

Ground here is not the same as Havasu ground. Near the river you get sand and old silt rather than caliche close to the surface. Sand is forgiving to dig and unforgiving under an outrigger, so we pad wider on river lots and in the fields than we would on a hillside pad up north.

Summer is brutal in the valley and we start early. Winter is the busy stretch, when the RV parks and resorts fill and the whole town gets more crowded. Access to riverside properties gets tighter in those months, so tell us if the approach runs through a park or a resort lane.

Distance and Dispatch

Parker is 41 road miles from our yard at 850 London Bridge Rd in Lake Havasu City. That is measured by road, not straight line, because the road distance is what actually decides how a day gets scheduled. Middle dispatch band. Same day depends on what is already booked that day.

  • The drive is AZ-95 south through the Parker Strip. It is two lane for most of it and slow behind boat trailers on weekends.
  • Parker is the La Paz County seat, so there is commercial and public building work here that the smaller river towns do not have.
  • River lots step down toward the water. Setup is often on the road side with the load going down grade.
  • Parker Valley south of town is irrigated farm ground. Pumps, gearheads and implements get pulled and reset there, often on soft field ground.
  • Winter visitor season fills the RV parks and the resorts, which changes what is easy to get a truck near.

How the job runs

Our Process

  1. Step 1: Send the details

Weight, size, and where it has to go. For dock and boat work, a photo from the road showing the drop to the water tells us more than any measurement.

  2. Step 2: We check the approach

River lanes, resort roads and farm turnouts are the limiting factor more often than the lift is. We confirm the truck can get in and turn around before we commit to a day.

  3. Step 3: Book the window

Parker is a tier 2 run at 41 miles, so we set a window rather than promise a time. If we can pair your job with another one in the area that week, everyone comes out ahead.

  4. Step 4: One trip down AZ-95

Tell us everything on the property that needs lifting before we leave the yard. A pump, a dock section and a trailer load can all go on the same visit instead of a second trip down AZ-95.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take you to reach Parker?

About an hour of driving, 41 road miles down AZ-95 through the Parker Strip. Weekend boat traffic can add to that, so summer weekend jobs get a wider window.

Can you get a boat out of the water at a private dock?

Often yes. It depends on where the truck can level up and how far the hook has to reach down to the water. Send a photo from the road and we can tell you before anyone drives anywhere.

Do you work in the Parker Valley farm areas?

Yes. Pumps, gearheads and implements are regular work. Field ground is soft, so we plan the setup position and bring pads sized for it rather than driving out and hoping.

Is same day possible in Parker?

Sometimes. At 41 miles it depends on what is already scheduled. A day or two of notice makes it far more likely, and emergencies get worked in when we can.

Can you pull a dock section or boat lift for repair?

Yes. The crane lifts the section or frame out so your repair crew can work on it, then sets it back in position when they are done. Tell us the weight and the approach from the road.

Ready to schedule your lift?

Tell us the load, the site and the timing. We will confirm capacity, access and a window.
