Crane Service in North Havasu

1 min readUpdated July 2026

Boom truck setting a wood roof truss on a framed house

North Havasu covers the newer end of Lake Havasu City, running up toward the airport and the commercial corridor. Streets are wider, lots are more regular and there is generally room to spread outriggers properly. That is why a large share of our truss setting and commercial equipment work happens on this side of town.

Room to Do the Job Properly

The newer end of the city was laid out with wider streets, more regular lots and utilities underground. For crane work that combination is close to ideal. We can put the truck where the geometry wants it, spread the outriggers fully and pick at a comfortable radius instead of stretching to clear a wall or a service drop.

It is also where most of the building is. Framing crews working up here get trusses set faster because the truck can sit close to the structure rather than reaching in from a distant street position. If you are building, book us during framing while the lot is still open.

Construction and Commercial Side by Side

Two kinds of work dominate. Residential construction, which means trusses, beams, package units and the equipment that goes into a new house. And commercial and light industrial work along the airport corridor, which means rooftop units, shop equipment, racking, containers and structural steel.

The commercial jobs are usually the cleanest setups we get in the city. A parking lot or a yard gives level ground and full outrigger spread, so the planning is about the roof and the timing rather than the position.

  • Roof trusses, beams and structural members
  • Rooftop and package HVAC on homes and commercial buildings
  • Shop equipment, racking and containers
  • Spas, generators and mechanical placement
  • Roofing and solar material lifts on new builds

Local Access Notes

These are the things that actually decide how a lift runs in North Havasu. We check them before quoting rather than discovering them on the day. Our yard is 5 road miles away on 850 London Bridge Rd.

  • Newer layout with wider streets and more regular lots than the older parts of the city.
  • Much of it is underground utility, which removes the overhead service drop problem.
  • New construction is concentrated here, so truss and structural work is common.
  • The airport and commercial corridor brings shop, warehouse and rooftop equipment work.
  • Open ground on the edges is exposed, so wind is felt more up here than in a sheltered older street.

How the job runs

Our Process

  1. Step 1: Call during framing

An open lot makes a truss set simple. Once walls and fences close in, the same job becomes a longer reach from the street.

  2. Step 2: Confirm the delivery timing

Trusses and units arrive on somebody else's truck. We line our arrival up with the delivery so nobody is paying to watch the other wait.

  3. Step 3: Set up close

Wide streets mean we can usually work at short radius, which is faster and steadier than reaching in from a distance.

  4. Step 4: Finish and hand over

Members are set and released to your crew, and the street is cleared.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you set a full roof of trusses?

Yes. It is regular work in this part of town. Give us the truss lengths, the heaviest member and the framing schedule and we will plan the day around your crew.

Do you work in the commercial corridor near the airport?

Regularly. Yards and parking lots give the best setups we get anywhere in the city, so those jobs tend to run quickly.

Are power lines an issue up here?

Less than in the older neighbourhoods, because much of this area is underground. We still confirm the setup point on site before the boom comes up.

Does wind affect this side of town more?

On the open edges, yes. There is less to break it up than in a built up older street, so we watch it on exposed lots.
