Crane Service in North Pointe, Lake Havasu City

1 min readUpdated July 2026

North Pointe is a newer part of Lake Havasu City with wide streets, regular lots and utilities underground. That combination makes it one of the easier neighbourhoods to work in. The main variable is construction activity, since unfinished streets, missing curbs and site traffic change where a truck can safely set up.

The Easy End of Havasu Crane Work

North Pointe is close to the best case for a boom truck in this city. Wide streets, level ground, room to spread outriggers and nothing strung overhead. On a job here the plan usually comes together in one visit and the lift goes exactly where the geometry says it should.

That is worth knowing if you are choosing when to have work done. A spa, a unit or a set of trusses that would be a careful, awkward job on a narrow older street is straightforward here, and the time on site is shorter as a result.

Building Sites Change the Picture

Where construction is still active, the calculation shifts. New streets sometimes have unfinished shoulders that look like pavement and behave like loose fill. Site traffic, material deliveries and other trades all compete for the same frontage. And on a lot mid build there may be trenches, forms or stacked material exactly where the truck wants to be.

None of that is a problem if we know in advance. Tell us the site is active and we will confirm the setup position with your superintendent rather than sorting it out on arrival.

  • Roof trusses, beams and structural members
  • Rooftop and package HVAC on new builds
  • Spas and equipment into open lots before walls go up
  • Generators and mechanical placement
  • Bundled roofing staged across new roof decks

Local Access Notes

These are the things that actually decide how a lift runs in North Pointe. We check them before quoting rather than discovering them on the day. Our yard is 7 road miles away on 850 London Bridge Rd.

  • Newer layout with wide streets and regular lot shapes.
  • Utilities are underground, so there is no service drop across the front to work around.
  • Active building in places means site traffic, deliveries and unfinished street surfaces.
  • Street edges on newly built streets can be soft where the shoulder has not been finished.
  • Open lots make truss and equipment setting far simpler than the same work in a closed in yard.

How the job runs

Our Process

  1. Step 1: Say whether the site is active

A finished street and a construction site are two different jobs. Knowing which we are coming to changes the plan and the timing.

  2. Step 2: Coordinate with the trades

Truss deliveries, framing crews and equipment suppliers all want the same frontage. We line the arrival up so nobody waits on anybody.

  3. Step 3: Stay off unfinished shoulders

New street edges can be loose fill under a thin surface. Outriggers go on finished pavement or on properly sized pads.

  4. Step 4: Set and hand over

Members and equipment land where your crew wants them, rigging comes off and the truck leaves the street clean.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an easy neighbourhood to work in?

One of the easiest in the city. Wide streets, level ground and underground utilities remove most of the constraints that slow jobs down elsewhere.

Can you set trusses on a house still under construction?

Yes, and an open lot is the ideal time to do it. Give us the truss lengths, the heaviest member and the framing schedule.

Are new street shoulders safe for outriggers?

Not always. Unfinished shoulders can be loose under a thin surface. We stay on finished pavement or use properly sized pads.

Should I get the crane in before the block wall goes up?

If you have a choice, yes. Anything that has to go in the back is far simpler while the lot is still open.
